Went with all UGPG seed pack seeds this year. 1731 McConkie 1817 McConkie 1278 Gerber 1002 West Are the chosen ones this year. No rhyme or reason just The first four I grabbed. Will see how it goes!   Tuesday, May 2 View Page Transplanted the 1731 and 1817 McConkie and the 1278 Gerbert to 5 gallon pots. I put the 1002 West outside in back patch #2. Didn't think it would make it but it's actually toughing out the cold rather well. I cover it at night and open dusting the day.   Sunday, May 14 View Page Ready for the new season. The front patch has the 1731 McConkie. The other McConkie snapped in the wind and didn't make it. So the 1731 is in the ground out front. It's doing pretty well. Slow growth so far but in the last few days it started putting on some length. Will measure and update later.   Tuesday, June 27 View Page This is the 1278 Gerbert in the back patch. Same as last year, the squash bugs got it early and it's all kinds of deformed. Strange how they hit that patch every year but I see none out in the front patch. I doused both patches with seven today and keep killing all I see. Decent growth but not sure how it's going to progress. Been under a hoop house for a few weeks now. Covered this patch later than the front.   Monday, July 3 View Page Looks like I have outgrown the hoops out front. Three hoops is too small now. Guess I need to go to five!
