I soaked the seeds in seaweed and humic for an hour. I planted 2-1801 Berrens, 2-1910 Tobeck, 2-1861 Adkins, 1-1944.5 Pugh, and 1 1822 Sippel. Plan on taking the fastest 1801,1910, 1861, and the 1944.5. The 1822 will be a backup. My daughter is pretty excited!

1801 Berrens (1756 x 1676). The plants are starting to speed up. I put them in the ground this year right after they got their first leaf and I could see which direction they were going.

1716 Schmit. I had a 1861 Adkins in its place but it started to wilt, so this was the backup. It's starting to catch up now.

1716 Schmit, just about ready to touch down.

1944 Pugh, this plant is really aggressive! It was a double vine so I stopped the main vine on Monday and made the first secondary the main and it's really taking off. Almost growing out of the hoop house.

1801 Berrens, my biggest plant. It has a double vine but growing good. With the warm temperatures coming I'm going to give it quite abit of water and nitrogen to try get it to pop out of it.

1910 Tobeck, chugging right along. All the plants are very healthy with great color. The 10 day forecast is 80s and warm at night so the plants should really take off!

The 1944 Pugh, very excited to grow this seed. I pinched the main vine due to a double vine and made a secondary the main. Even with going with a secondary it's just as far along as I've ever had!

The 1801 Berrens, I also had to cut the main vine and go with a secondary for the main. Side vines are doing good except the new main is a little slow at growing them. It'll be fine in a little bit. Very healthy plant.

The 1910 Tobeck, a really healthy plant but the side vines a little slow on this one as well. Gave it some TKO this week to hopefully help.

The 1716 Schmit, planted about a week late and doing good, think this one will be good! Seems to be a very easy plant!

All the plants are in very good shape. I'm only foliar spraying once a week with kelp, fulvic acid, and Epsom salts. I'm mixing all the other fertilizer in my water tanks so the leaves look really young! Hopefully this helps out with late season growth.

Briar and her little cousins enjoyed taking pictures with the pumpkins! This is the 1716 Schmit, it's still gaining around 8 pounds a day. The plant got nipped by frost a little the beginning of September but still looks pretty good!

This is the 1801 Berrens, it seems solid like a rock! It's a few inches bigger than the 1716.

The 1944 Pugh, this plant also got a little frost the beginning of September. The pumpkin has slowed down to around 5 pounds a day but is starting to get some green in it. It feels really solid when you pound on it!

Won the Roland Pumpkin Fair with 1498.5 pounds, a new personal best. Grew it off the 1801.2 Berrens x 1944.5 Pugh. Around 10% heavy. Had a great day in Roland, always look forward to going up there!

The patch is finally all picked up for the year, old composted manure and gypsum was put down. I'll get a soil test in the spring and add whatever extra needs to be added. My three biggest pumpkins totaled 4131 pounds, but my 1221 was weighed at a non GPC weigh off. I was happy with how the year went!

If anyone wants seeds to grow next year from my 1498.5 pound pumpkin send me an email. It was 3% heavy on the new chart, it was around 11-13 inches thick. The cross is the 1801.2 Berrens x 1944.5 Pugh. I'll be growing it next year, I think it should be a really good seed!
