A lot has happened this year. I moved to a new place where I'm limited to container gardening, so I've teamed up with a friend from nearby to grow some pumpkins at his place. I was working 2 full time jobs in the spring, so we got a late start and transplanted on June 4th. We are growing a 2145 McMullen and a 2059 Daletas and both have been impressive the whole way. Here's a shot of our 2145 from a couple of days ago. This is somewhere around day 23....
Here's another angle of our 2145. I've seen pics of a couple of ugly ones this year- ours is looking beautiful. We have 2 side vine fruit on the 2059 and it will be tough to decide which one to cut....
Here's the 715.5 Waltz-Morgan in Altoona, PA. Not bad considering we lost half the plant to disease back in August. This was grown on a 2145 McMullen seed and we used it to pollinate one of our 2059 Daletas pumpkins.
