Poor start to the season with cold rainy weather through May. I opted to grow 1 giant this year, I've done this in the past and it didn't work out due to multiple splits. My small growing space fits 2 plants but the bigger plant always loses growth potential and last years PB of 1427 could have been bigger with more plant. Due to the weather I'm 2 .5 weeks behind. I'm growing the 1427 Podraza (16) and the 100 Podraza FP (13) Pollinated the 1427 this morning with the 2145 McMullen, the FP is just starting to run.

Biggest day 11 ive ever had, probably the result of having terminated quite a bit of plant starting about the time of pollination.

day 20

Biggest day 20 I've ever had due most likely to a later 7-5 pollination with a lot more plant behind the pumpkin. 85% terminated, only the plant after the pumpkin is growing. So far its survived the poor spring conditions, relatively cool temps too much rain and 2 tornados that touched down a few miles from me.
