I decided to post the pumpkins we grow that don't make an official scale so other growers could see the crosses we make, first time for a diary so bear with me.

1,749 Stelts F X 1,050 Zaychkowsky M - pollinated 6/25 - 20' on main - 5 segment
OTT 177 C + 103 S + 107 E = 387 total 1,293 est 1,353 actual
Actual weight is our inline scale we use & not to be confused with an official scale (disclaimer) so far we are happy with our weight to measurement but a little surprised our 1,516 wasn't heavier that seed stock has produced some very heavy to chart pumpkins in the past.

Here is how we transport our pumpkins we put a comforter on the pumpkin for protection then shrink wrap & duct tape to keep in place if not the shrink wrap tears off on the drive. Normally we would have the whole pumpkin covered in shrink wrap but these were not heading to a competition, I really like the yellow strap down squares we got from the Ice Man for only $100 each that benefits the GPC. These are soft & form fit the top for a smooth ride, speaking of smooth ride we have been using 3" thick elastomeric foam for some years now & would encourage everyone to get some for their pumpkins they form fit the bottom of your fruit & provide excellent support & cushion for the ride.

Here is another view so you can see how the whole load works & a better look at the foam this stuff is awesome for transporting. For this load we do not use pallets just cover the floor of the trailer with the foam rubber it makes it easier to pack & we have pallets waiting for us when we arrive (we get the OK to do this before we leave). At all of the weigh-offs we attend the pumpkins are on a pallet so we don't hold up the unload crews all we have to do is undo our ratchet straps & pull the tarps or squares off.
