Did not have much time to post anything for this growing season. Growing lineup included the 2145.5 McMullen, 2157 Paton, 2624 Willemijns and my own 1007.5 Hodge. The 1007.5 was the first out of the ground, the largest plant and would of ended up with the largest fruit if half the plant would not of been lost at fruit day 25 from a strong storm. The 2157 Paton was also a very aggressive plant but turned out to be sterile, fruit would get to grapefruit size and abort, pulled plant in early August. 2624 Willemijns fruit went to Kentucky and weighed 1097.5 pounds. The 1007.5 Hodge went to Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana and weighed 1247 pounds. The 2145.5 McMullen went to our new contest here in Indiana at Wasson Nursery and weighed 1266.5 pounds and was my biggest for 2017. Pictures follow.
