1316 Werner no more than 8 leaves still standing but still chugging along. These plants were completely hailed out in may but came back somehow. I call this one the ghost pumpkin. Five straight days of rain has got to quit.

These two melons of ours were in the long striped division took 1st and second and then were up against all of the other melon divisions 40-50 melons of all types and took Grand Champion. We do raise the eatin type too.

Largest melon at the fair 181.5 lbs. 3.5 lbs. from the state fair record. Should have left it on longer. ott had it at 193.5 so went a little light. Have one that is bigger for Oct. 8

Biggest pumpkin at the fair and the grand champion 611 lbs. taped 300 ott so went heavy by 50 lbs. or so.

Jacob with his 3rd. place pumpkin big orange at 523 lbs. had fun watching these pumpkins grow. Iwish I would of had a pumpkin that size when I was 5.

So here is 2nd. and 3rd. Both my kids get ribbons. 140-142.5-181.5 on the melons a clean sweep two years in a row. 1st and 3rd. on the giant pumpkins and 1st and 2nd on long striped with three Grand Champions not bad , I hope they let us back in next year.
