Jason has his patch laid out, and dad and I got ours laid out today. All amendments either has been or will be ordered by tomorrow. Should have everything by the end of the week. Still plenty to do like get water systems going and putting up fence but we are getting close.

This is a 151 Terry grafted to a C. Ficifolia rootstock. It was just a practice one that I have decided to plant so thats the plan.

Growing 2 kins this year in hopes of allowing me to focus more on these 2 plants and also giving me more room for melons. Prepared pots this a.m. and placed them in the germ box to warm. These two seeds will battle for one spot.

The other kin will be the 1522 Terry. I loved watching this kin last year! I really pretty orange pumpkin that was low and wide. It was grown from the 1530 Gehweiler and pollinated with the 1813 Northrup. Here they are 7 days old today.

Started a 2059 Daletas and 1998 Juttras today. Hoop houses built and added some K, borax, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, and blood meal to the planting areas. Nice day to be in the patch.

Took a 100 day measurement on this melon today and got to thinking...how old is this plant, it still looks great. After checking my notes I was amazed. This plant is 174 days old, still growing, still producing. Still packing pounds on a 100 day old fruit!

A few watermelon grafts. Gotta do something this winter lol. The two in the back are my 290.5. I think its gonna be a good seed. Tested 6 and had 100% germination. 251 Kent selfed, how can it go wrong?
