Plant B lagging a lil bit. I think it is because the soil seems denser on that side of the patch. Spot A got more compost to raise it as it was the lower side in previous years. Ron W showed in his diary that he forks around the plant. Seemed like a lot of work to me, however I visited a fellow grower this week who had forked his patch as well and I couldn't believe how soft it was. so I took their idea and ran with it. I forked around both plants. Plant B soil was definitely denser than plant A. I will keep up this practice for the remainder of the season. Also buried vines while I was out there. Gave Plant B a lil N kick in the pants to see if it responds.

Monday, June 13 View Page
Operation Kick In The Pants is a full on success. Plant is accelerating side growth and the vines are climbing to the sky. Now let's just wait for a female to show. At this rate it will be well past the minimum 15 foot mark.
