Long Gourds doing good. I started mine a little early. This is my 91.75", grew my 141.25" from last season.

Another long gourd of mine, from a few years back, unproven and never grown. On a better growth pace than last season.

This is my 667 Simpson (670 Daigle x 801.5 Stelts). Best plant I have growing. All my older genetic plants are way behind, most likely due to the chemicals I used to get them to germinate. They are growing though. I usually pull my shade cloth once the plant out grows it, but I decided to move it for another week. Pruned the stump area and put up my cover over the stump. Keeps it dry..... My 435.5 Wallace (603.5Muller x self) flat vined on me. I watered it heavy for the last week, but it hasn't corrected itself. Yesterday I took the razor to it and really pruned it, got it down to 1 vine that I could tell. The tip was just 1 big cluster of leaves and flowers. Hopefully it corrects itself.....

Part of the patch with alfalfa cover crop. Growing nicely.

667 Simpson coming along good. Pulled the 700 Herrmann, was way behind and barely had roots. The 435.5 Wallace is coming along good, plant corrected itself from a flat vine, with a lot of help from me.

91.75" Vunak growing nicely. Still behind last years growth.

Another long gourd of mine. Growing great, seems to be in turbo mode. Way ahead of my other long gourds.

Long Gourd is down and running. Just over a foot long. I like to plant my long gourd 2ft from the trellis, run it to the trellis. That way I can get some extra roots off the main vine.

My horseradish plant. 3ft tall. This one is a "tear jerker" when you eat it.

Gourds doing good. My trellis's are 12ft tall.

Gourds cranking up growth a bit. The 1 on the right is up and on top of the trellis. The 1 on the left (91.75") is starting to get in gear, only a 7" difference now, was 12".

This is my 667 Simpson, cross is 670 Daigle x 801.5 Stelts. Nice plant, thick vines. I've got it pollinated with 435.5 Wallace (603.5 Muller x Self). I had an earlier set, but the stem split in half, my fault...... I'm babying this one!!

Can is for size comparison... LOL..... Pumpkin blew up. That's make 2 so far. Definitely my fault. I'm either "juicing" the plant too much, or it could be that I have a lot of plant behind these pumpkins. I have another set, only a couple days old. Not sure if I'm going to keep pushing it or just get the genetic cross I want, will see in a couple of days. I'm going to start "bleeding" the plant tonight, hopefully that helps some.

Season pretty much done here. Pulled my last big plant today, couldn't get pumpkins to stop "blowing up" on me. Have one small plant that I made some genetic crosses, hopefully it can handle two pumpkins on it. Also have my long gourds. At least those will get much more needed attention.

Pumpkin on the only plant I have left. This plant is for genetic crosses. The picture doesn't do the color justice..... Great neon yellow, very shiny. Notice the blaze orange color around the blossom, hope that's a sign of the color. The cross is 435.5 Wallace x 408 Herrmann, the 408 is 565 Stelts sibbed. Should make for a great color cross. I have a 2nd pumpkin on the same plant. Not as big. not going for size, just trying to get the crosses I want. Same color as the one in the picture. The cross on the 2nd pumpkin is 435.5 Wallace x 667 Simpson, the 667 is 670 Daigle x 801.5 Stelts. Also should be a great color cross. The 435.5 Wallace is 603.5 Muller x self.

Only pumpkin I have left. It is just a genetics pumpkin. Good shape, real nice color. Stopped growing. Very small plant, maybe 100 sq ft.

Side view of my pumpkin. Plant has very bad downy mildew, figured that is cause of growth stopping. Wasn't that much care given to the plant. I think next season this seed will go into my main patch. This is the 435.5 Wallace, it is crossed with the 408 Herrmann, 408 is 565 Stelts x sibb.

Pumpkin stopped growing awhile ago. Leaving it on vine so the color comes out better. Getting prettier every week.

Another view. Great coloring. Will put this seed in my main patch next season. This is grown off of 435.5 Wallace (603 Muller x Self).

435.5 Wallace getting prettier by the week. No growth in awhile. I decided to leave it on the vine to see if the color was going to get prettier, it did......

Picked the 435.5 Wallace today. Estimated at 159#. It weighed 184.4#, 14% heavy. This was grown just for genetics. Great color.
