Started two 1662 DeBacco seeds on the 18th along with everything else, one was real messed up and I didn't plant it and started another on the 24th. The plant closest is the 1662 that was started on the 18th and the smaller plant is the one I started on the 24th. The plant to the left is my 1558.5 back up plant. most years I start on the 24th. The unibrow said we were going to have above normal temp's this spring so I thought I would start six days early, I'm still waiting for that warm weather.

June 10 1790 Wallace with no main vine, didn't put fence on the road side of patch I never had a problem on that side, mistake one of the year, woodchuck I thought.

June 13 I now have fence up, and you can see I left two openings on both sides of patch with a a foot and half fence so its easy to get in and out of patch, I have always done it this way, mistake number two. trained a side vine into a main on the 1790 it's looking a lot better.

Today got home from work and the wife informed me a dear had some of her beans that just came up for a midnight snack, put a second radio in and turned up the one we Already had in, some one must have turned it down hopefully that does the trick. Headed to the pumpkin patch to take down the covers over the mains I had up because of the heat and something had ate a side vine from the first plant and two side vines from another plant. Looked around and there was some dear tracks, it must have been a dear that ate the 1790 main a week ago. I was very lucky it was real hot and I had to have the mains covered or I'm sure the dear would have ate the Mains instead of the side vines. hopefully the dear walked over the ends I only have a foot and a half of fence up and didn't jump the four foot high fence. now the fence is all four foot high and there is country cranked up on high playing in the patch and I will keep the mains coverd for now. The side vine I trained into a new main on the 1790 is four foot long and has a baby pumpkin that will open in the next week.

East side of patch, in foreground added Sudan grass to 2018 patch and chicken manure to 2017 patch. I'm about three to four weeks behind, just not enough time to get every thing done. I got to say I'm not sure we're some people that post all the time on the none topic board get all the time to post to fight with everyone, amazing.
