this is my 1625.5 gantner. it was a late start, but was going really well, and about a week ago i noticed the leaves were
browning off. it is gradually going along the main vine.
i hope i can fix this because i'm keen to grow this plant.
any advice would be appreciated. thank you in advance;;;

my patch is getting crowded. i was only going to grow three plants, but the 1588 glasier is such a good plant i turned it sideways, i am pleased i did. we just got 3 inches of rain in the last two days, so everything is pretty wet;

this is the 1947 clements, first fruit about 12 foot out.
on day 11.measures 29.5 X 30.5 X 42 = 102 inches, not sure if that's good enough or not, but it has only just started to go.
there is another one 5 foot further on, i have fertilized it
but i think i will go with the first one;hope that is the right decision.

well, i'm getting lessons every day. today i thought i would go down and measure my pumpkins. they looked good until i came to the best plant so far, the 1588-glasier. when we had all the rain a week ago, it washed out the dirt under the side of the pumpkin, which twisted the stem of the fruit, and it was almost busted off.it was as big as a basketball. needless to say i only took the other two fruit off 2 days ago; so that is the end of the 1588 until next year.

measures,67x68x107=242 inches/ 319lbs. the main worry is, it is growing over the flower end of the fruit, i don't think there is anything i can do.in the last six days it has put on
27lbs a day. hope it keeps going...

a very sad day today, i have tried everything suggested to me,
but nothing seems to stop whatever it is. the fruit is only
61 x 63 x 90- 214 = 223 lbs/ day 32; i think i will pull it out tomorrow because i don't want this problem in my other plants; sorry mr. gantner, but i really tried to save it;

this is how the vine has gone. it started at the core of the main vine, and just continued along the main, and then out onto the secondaries. i cut off about 7 or 8 foot of the stump
and thought i had it beat, but;;;;;;;
i suppose that's what makes me keener, trying to do better next time.

had a good storm yesterday afternoon, and these big leaves don't like strong wind too much; we'll see how it turns out.
i went down this morning, and done what i could, but a lot of the vines are split.aaarrgghh. [ the ups and downs of this hobby ] i suppose that is a point for a green house;;;;;;;

88 x 94 x 132=314/=677lbs; i had to check my measurements.
the same overall as the 1947, and two days younger;
feels tight and heavy to me, will be interesting to see how it goes with the chart.

sunday-20th,we had a bit of a field day at my place.it was a great day with our club members, and a few new growers in attendance.there was also a couple of sponsors here,who donated some good fertilizers and advice from a horticulturist/ agronomist.many thanks for that;after some good discussion and measuring my pumpkins, we all had a barbeque, and a couple of social drinks.i am very happy with my pumpkins, after a fair bit of bad weather;
mystery kim k.==93x93x166=352/- day46 -chart 943 lbs
1947 clements ==95x93x156=344/-day 44 -chart 882 lbs
1734 steil ==95x103x145=343/-day 44 -chart 875 lbs
my goal was 1,000 lbs. i think with a bit of luck i will make that; i never would have thought that was possible.
hopefully they keep going. i'll take some photo's soon.
