Hello everybody, greetings from Italy!
This is my first entry and this year I'd like to be more regular with my diary.
Now I'd really like to thank Quinn Werner for his seeds, I really hope to grow a giant, but now I have to choose my lineup... I need some more time...
I also hope to keep my YouTube channel updated, if you like here it is, with some videos from the past season: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3eWmh3i0wMmVmHAxP7IFAQ

Now I'm waiting for some more seeds and then I'll choose my lineup.
Here there are some possible choices (only 4 plants):
1756 Lancaster
1700/1650 Werner
1623 Wallace
????
I still have a 1625 Gantner, but I really would like to grow the 1916 Barron...

This are the mycos I'll use as inoculant. It's micosat F tab Plus WP. There are Glomus, Tricoderma, bacillus subtilis and many other (all listed in the photo). This is the first year I use them, I hope they could help the root system.
As soon as possible I'll upload some videos on my YouTube channel http://m.youtube.com/channel/UC3eWmh3i0wMmVmHAxP7IFAQ

Today was too wet to till the patch. Hoping in much sunnier weather I'll wait till 1st April. After tillage I'll send my soil sample for analysis. Waiting for some more seeds and then I'll choose my lineup. Here it is my best looking pumpkin and my lifting crew, thanks a lot to everyone!

This will be my lineup: 1623 Wallace (1738 Barron as backup), 1916 Barron x2 and I'll choose the strongest, 1700 Werner or 1650 Werner (I'll choose the best plant), 1756 Lancaster and my 475 Rosso (1770 Lieber x 1602 Glasier) as backup. I really like this seed of mine. A very beautiful colour and the pollinator was my best plant ever, very vigorous and bright orange. Unfortunately the 1602 glasier went down due to a stem split but it was very thick (+10%) It was 485 lbs on 27 July, and was growing 25 lbs per day before the stem split. Also the 475 was harvested early due to a rotten stem.
I hope this seeds will give me a new personal best, now my goal is 1000 lbs!

Starting seeds today. Soaked with hydrogen peroxide at 1% for 20 minutes, next filed edges and soaked with seaweed. Next I've prepared the pots as Pumpking suggest me: germination potting soil up to 1,5" next I covered the seeds with mycos powder and placed the seed horizontally on a 1/5" of sand and covered it with another sand layer. At the and I fill the remaining part of the pots with the potting soil.

The 1623 Wallace was quite slow to germ and today I've noticed that strange malformation of the stump. If anyone can help me understanding what it is I'll be really grateful

Placed the halogen lamp to heat the mini-greenhouses. In the next days I'm going to set them in order to warm the air during night but not burn plants

Today we transplanted seedlings. Unfortunately three plant out of eight have double leaf from the second node, hope that it doesn't matter too much. If somebody have some suggestion please write me an e-mail.However I have planted a backup next to each plant in order to choose the best one. I added mycos and seaweed. Plants are now under the mini-poly tunnel.

Due to the wind many plants' vines are cracked, this is the 1623 Wallace, the worst damaged. The cracks are longitudinal and I§ think they didn't stop the lymph flow. I'm a bit worried about the damage, but now the cracks are completely dry, can anybody suggest me what to do and if it can be a problem? The plant is really vigorous and fast growing, far faster than the 1916 it's placed next to. If the damage is too serious I can pull the 1623 Wallace and keep the 1916 instead, but the 1623 is very beautiful with big leaves.
