last year i lost my pumpkin early on in the season , i planted oat , tilled it in this spring
then i sprinkled straw with white clover seeds all this will be tilled in just before the pumpkin spreads
i will just lay the vines and cover with promix to promote top root growth
no heavy organic soil on the vine this year (trial number 1)

here the 1463hoelke , probably going to be the only plant growing this year
at least i have it , it seems to be growing fine
Its a bit behind but im sure it will catch up
the leaves seems to have yellow spots , i get this every year in the beginning of the season ,
probably a lack of magnesium or manganese maybe due to a ph issue or cold soil
ozone maybe , cant really tell anyway when it grounds itself a bit more , it wont lack anything hehe

1463 hoelke doing a bit better now, i had a problem with nutrient being locked up it was not a ph issue
probably the organic matter in the soil combined with cool temperatures .
i sprayed epsom salt and fish emulsion then drenched with seaweed tea
and things got better
I just bought a soil test kit (first time ever , its pretty basic but will give me a good idea of what i need in there)

here is the pumpkin that will be sacrificed if the other one stays together while it gets trained at 90 degree....
the keeper is a slow starter (four lober only and short stem)
not much to help it but its quite ahead of the other one and is growing now...

1463hoelke kinda injured , the thing is when i removed the rotten blossom end and scrapped it all out
, im not sure , but i think i heard some air pressure coming out and so it think its pretty much done
But it seems to still be growing (slower) with no signs of rot around the area
ill keep it going and see how it does
ps...theres another version of that seed growing very well and its is own seed!
check it out

too bad my pumpkin went down so close to the end , not even from the blossom end , it was all good
Probably due to some dirt that went flying on the pumpkin when it rained , next year ill try to get those big red carpet to put under the pumpkin , i ve tried to scrape and sulfured the spots for a week but now its too late
at least it got to the end , .... almost
