Here is our tomato plant. We have shade cloth on it to keep it cool and to keep the deer from eating it. We have had some wild life problems this year.

The tomato was wrapped in a sheet to keep the sun off of it and protect it. I cut an old t-shirt into strips and tied it to the stem and then to the board above the tomato to support the tomato. No other support was used.

As Glen would say the bar has been set for the Master Gardener Competition. We have the: AG 1386.2 Martin (1476.5 Martin X 1791 Holland), Squash 1103.6 Martin* (1023.5 Martin* x 1264 Pierpont), Long gourd 130.38 Martin (121.5 Martin x 137.75 Wright), Tomato 7.45 Martin (5.63 Martin x Open), Field Pumpkin 122 Martin (109 Martin x 145 Ellenbecker), we have a watermelon but had some issue so it is not real big 93 Martin (260 Clementz x 274 Kent). With the new rules we only need five of the six to compete and the five that are doing well are our own seeds.

The whole bowl full is just one tomato. That was a big tomato. Looks like I should have a seed or two.
