People sometimes ask me what do I do with the pumpkin at the end of the year. I tell them " deer food ".

I have a trio of Glasiers in the east end that I will need to eventually narrow down to one. 1553 '13, 1784 '13, and on the right, the 1602 '12. The leaves started to rot on the 1784 before I could get the seed coat off, but hopefully it can catch up.

I'm trying the 316 Edwards in the melon patch this year. The stem started thinning, so I put a styrofoam collar around it for added support.

Ended up culling my first pollination on the 1208.5 Kibler. It was becoming misshaped and my 2nd pollination, ( July 8th with the 1602 Glasier ) was catching up in size.

Discovered a soft spot on side of 1602 Glasier a few days ago that wouldn't dry out after applying Daconil. Today I removed the soft decayed material and applied Daconil. I never tried this before, but I have a back-up on a side vine if this doesn't work.
