Sunday, May 18 View Page We finally got the pumpkin planted - a bit late, but with Dad retiring from the pumpkin business, I'm on my own this year.   Friday, August 1 View Page A disappointing growing season - a large split in the main vine near the base resulted in having to choose a pumpkin on one of the first secondaries. End result - a very small pumpkin this year. Too bad as the weather is good and the plant is really healthy. Maybe it's meant to be as the local weigh off conflicts with a half marathon race and a dog show this year. At best we'll have a movable jack-o-lantern at Halloween.
