I have to give a BIG thank you to Robin Halbert today. I had a female open up today and other than selfing it(didn't want to do)I had no male pollen and he gave me some from his 1874 Mathison he is growing. It was a 5 lobe female roughly 13+ ft out.

Tuesday, May 27 View Page
Well the 1725 lost out due to its flat vine issue that didnt look to be getting any better.

I am predicting some great pumpkins coming from SkyWiZZy this year. Why you say ? Well mainly because as part of our Superbowl wager he will be naming his pumpkins from the players of the Superbowl Champion Seahawks and that in its self can only provide great results in the patch. I have been wondering tho when will we get to see the Seahawk tutu that you received in Orlando worn in the patch? Best of luck to ya my friend. Percy should be a fast grower for you

My 1623.5 Wallace. It was both my biggest pumpkin and my biggest disappointment. It was DQ'd because of the size of the hole at bottom right. It wasnt into the cavity but it exceeded the 3in in depth and diameter. Was really bummed but rules are rules. So .................

So it is now the 1424.5 Barker dmg and a new PB. 1623.5 Wallace x 1495 Stelts. It made a BIG splash into the pool from 120+ feet in the air.

.............While on display it did an impersonation of a sguash and went greenie on me. I only can think it was some sort of maturing thing but this is really weird. My buddy Stan Pughs 1609.5 did the same thing while on display at the fair it greened up. Perplexed as to what would cause them to do that.

Well this last week end was the PNWGPG awards meeting and much to my surprise I got 2 awards one meant a whole lot to me and that was the sportsmanship award as voted by other growers. The other Charlie Brown's "oh good grief" award. My misfortune was for bringing a pumpkin down to a weigh off that ended up being judged as damaged and it being the biggest one I had grown. Darn the luck. So I won that one too
