1205.5 young,had to open up south end of hut and let her out! also had to make the decision to pull the back-up plant the 1287 Megchelsen,and my son was very upset with me, he couldnt understand why we had to kill such a big nice plant!!!!! hope i made good choice but the 1205.5 was alot nicer looking plant,to late now what is done is done!!!

i also pulled my heat tape out before the ground settled, just pulled it out back and fourth under the plant,hope didnt damage to many roots!

i got these at an auction,they are yard or street light covers approx 24" wide at the bottom and 16" tall they make great plant covers and are heavy enough that they dont blow away! definately work better than milk jugs!!!

not pumpkin related but had to post! the 4-h had their county shoot awards presentation last week and my daughter took first place in the junior division in four catagories- pellet rifle paper target, .22 rifle paper target, .22 rifle sillouette, and compound bow paper target. at least some good news!

safe and sound, now for the 150 mile trip -wonder how many potholes are between here and Des Moines? Ready to go up there and be served a big piece of humble pie!! Those Iowa boys sure know how to raise pumpkins!!! Oh well sure is a fun trip and the people are the best! They are really nice and helpful especially to an out of stater comming to their fair!!!
