Going for broke as I don't have another one ready for at least a week.   Monday, July 23 View Page I been having a really hard time getting one to take on 1161 due to heat. I cut one off that was at about 10 ft, maybe I should have kept it. I have 2 that I pollinated this past week and I went out to take some pictures and bent over and camera fell out of my pocket and banged softball size pumpkin and sheared off blossom end flush with kin. I was told to leave it and it should be ok. 2nd one is still on and looks like it could take over. oh well   Monday, July 23 View Page 1426 I pollinated on the 30th is at 63" on day 20 so we will see. Day after I dropped my camera on 1161 kin I found the main on the 1426 had grown up under silt fence and I hadn't noticed. The tip was broke off from wind storm and all leaves at end of vine are burnt off but I am still hopefull.   Saturday, July 28 View Page on the 25th I cut off kin that I dropped my camera on because it stopped growing so the one I pollinated on the 20th is my last chance for 1000. yea I know it's a long shot but I have the plant behind it.   Saturday, July 28 View Page this is my last chance on the 1161. It is a mess around it as I had the vines set up for the one before this one that was on sand pile on the left.
