Ahhaa the great poop pyramids of Geezer are nearly complete, one or two more turnings and they will be ready for spring tilling. Surprisingly there were loads of huge nite crawlers in them!

Max the Beagle dug out a mole last fall and now if he even sees a mole hill he will dig for it until he either catches one or we go out in the field and drag him in for supper!

Tilling in a 5000 square foot garden with a foot or more of thick winter rye is a heck of a lot of work. A fella needs to take lots of breaks and pace himself!

Making the final pass just in time for the rain! Predicting rain for the next couple of weeks! Will let it sit for a couple of weeks and run another soil test. We added four hundred pounds of calpril/dolopril lime (based on our last test) and over 30 yards of horse manure.

Got the three main planting sites ready, now I have to wait for it to dry up a bit so I can till the pesky Winter Rye (again). Had to build a fence you see in the background around the back yard to keep the locals out of the patch!
