1540 Brownell. So far, so good. Had to put up some shade cloth hoops since it's been 95+ all week! Plants seem to be handling the heat well though.

Finally had some time to post some pictures. 1528 Starr, 9' long, working on getting some secondaries going. Suffered some wind damage about a week ago, so some leaves will have to get cut off this weekend.

This is my 1540 Brownell. It's at 7' long, with much larger leaves. It also suffered some heavy wind damage. The wind literally twisted the plant upside down after burying the main the same day. After the storm, the main had a split that appears to be just fine now. Hope it isn't a problem down the road.

4 more pollinations this morning 7/6/2011: --(3) 1528 Starr X Self (1 on main, 2 on secondary vines) --(1) 1528 Starr X 1540 Brownell (secondary vine) Grand total of 6 on this plant, should be plenty. Now I have to decide which ones to keep.
