After 250 days, the radish finally decided to stop growing. Soil was frozen, air temp -7°C, hard and long job to remove and clean it slowly... Then went to the shop to get an official and accurate weight : 4.976kg. Very pleased for my very first giant radish, 100% organic.

At the end, after 1 year of growth, my carrot stop growing and start to bolt. I knew it was big considering the size and the quantity of the leaves (1.10m diameter). When I dug it out of the soil, I couldn't believe it ! I rushed to the shop to get a certified weight : 4.250kg ! (about 9lb4oz). I can't be happier ! (still 100% organic)

Cantaloupes are growing quick now. I like that shape off the 40lb Holloway. The leaves are big, thick vines, very healthy plant. I crossed it with the 45.2 Webb.

Very happy with the cucumbers. I did my best even with the crap weather we had. I'm getting my target even with the long ones. Best fruits are on the plants which have the biggest leaves ( about 40cm wide and long)

Sweet pepper. This pepper is thicker than the common ones that's the reason why they are heavy. I hope for +10% heavy for that nice specimen lol

Tuesday, August 23 View Page
Another sweet pepper but the traditional variety. I tried to push it with a lot of drenches and foliar sprayings of different natural "purins". It seems to work since that fruit is way longer than normal.

I love growing aubergines. They are pretty plant with lovely flowers and beautiful fruits. Some varieties are long and slim , others are shorter but way bigger. Like the normal sweet pepper, I pushed them to see what happens. On each 2 plants, one fruit has grown over the normal size like this one. I hope for 700 to 800g.

Nice mater off the 5.07 Boudyo. This seed has already produced some big tomatoes in Europe. Lots of potential.

Wednesday, August 24 View Page
What a big surprise ! I weighed at the shop 2 aubergines, I thought they were about 700 to 800g, but in fact, the smallest one is 1,050kg and the biggest one is 1,136kg ! Look at the beautiful shiny skin.

Saturday, August 27 View Page
Nice onion, still growing slowly but surely.

Saturday, August 27 View Page
Here a photo of the 2 monsters aubergines. The 1,050kg has a girth of 33cm at the top and 36.5cm at the biggest part. Circonference from stem to stem is 62cm. The 1.136kg specimen has a girth of 34cm at the top and 38.5cm at the biggest part. Circonference from stem to stem is 62cm too. The 4 aubergines plants has produced already over 100 fruits and keep throwing many flowers, very strong plants. I don't know if there're some records in that category (don't think so) but feel free to email me if you have some informations. Thank you.

After the virus, disease, voles, crap weather , cold nights , we had a terrible hail storm which destroyed all my ouside vegts. Huge ice cubes even cut the plastic of the greenhouses. 50l of water per meter square within 30mn made a huge split on my marrow. Very sad since it was growing very well and was only 30days old and another 30days to go. That was my first serious attempt. Will try again next year !

I don't prune all tomatoes on each plant to get a big one because family love'em ! On each plant, there are about 10/12 tomatoes weighing 500g to 1kg+ so impossible to get a real big one but I don't mind. Will try next year to get a BIG one. Here Becky with 2 nice tomatoes : 1.353kg and 1.056kg The 3 specimens are 100% organic lol

Best giant long and heavy cucumbers are on the plants which have the biggest leaves. I have improved ventilation,so PM arrived only early september. Plants are healthy a longer time so fruits keep growing. Plants love the different plants liquids I use to foliar spray and drench. Both fruits already smashed my Pb's, very glad so far.

Saturday, September 10 View Page
Picked my first heavy cucumber today. Smashed my 2010's first Pb of 4.320kg, it weighed 6.175kg Lenght is 61cm, widest circonference is 42.5cm. Very pleased !

Long gourds, Hail has destroyed most of the leaves. The crap weather is still here, rain non stop , grey, cloud, wind and cold nights but the fruits are doing well, surprinsing.

For the husband who told his wife I love you one last time before his plane went down in a field For the wife who stopped in the stairs to call her husband to say I will love you forever For the mothers and fathers who kissed their kids goodbye the morning they died For the policemen who rushed in with the firemen to help get others out only to die themselves For the soldiers who fought back and lost their lives. Today, Tomorrow, we will remember forever

A new Pb for me off the 40 Holloway. I crossed it with the 45,2 Webb. Considering the crap weather and the voles invasion we had this season, I m glad of the result. Could have been bigger. Still another one growing very slowly on the same plant.

Anti roots sheet, my last solution against voles, plenty of works again during this winter....hope it'll work.

I've learnt a lot this season, a lot tests done for the next years. I have improved ventilation in one of pumpkin greenhouse and spray some organic mixtures to prevent PM. In the second pumpkin greenhouse, I didnt change anything just to compare. What the difference between this plant ...

Between my 5 aubergine plants, 2 are producing many fruits. I picked up already 150 good size fruits on 2 plants. Most of them are between 500g and 800g but a dozen were over a kilo. Even now, all plants are really heathly with huge green leaves and flowers. No disease at all. Never seen that before. The aubergine on the left is 1kg+.

Found Voles galleries in cucumbers patch too... Also, right at the stump of the big tomatoe, There were a big vole gallery. Could have been bigger ?!?

I picked up that 1,300kg tomatoe on the 24 of november. Yesterday, I remove all the tomatoes plants, they were still alive and heathly and full of tomatoes. In total, I found a full wheel barrow ! and some aubergines and sweet pepper. Not bad for the 7th of december.

I gave my 126lb phat jack to the "Telethon" which is a famous event in France during 48h. The target is to make some shows all over the country to get as much money as possible to help the Rare Diseases Research.

Thicker part of the 126lb phat Jack was on the top of it. Almost 10cm (4") without the carved skin on top. The blossom end was 5cm (2") thick. Seeds were perfect ! The 126 Daho 2011 is the 92.5 Kampf x self. It's the biggest off spring fruit of the 6 over 100lb produced by that great seed. From Nathan Kampf, it could be the biggest true Phat jack fruit grown ?

My best tall corn at 6,56m ( 21'6").
