WiZZy   Saturday, January 24 View Page 2009 WIZ Diary, I can hear the call of the season..... January Temps on the 22nd was 67 degrees. So I took the opportunity an sprayed molasses, fish, & symbooster 10X on my two patches up at Jareds with the Stihl. Put down a total of 9 Gallons across 2700 SF. ExPecting a little moisture later on in the week. ITZ time to get started. My Good friend Barry Todd delivered 40 Yards of Horse manure to get ready for 2010 compost. The SMell iZ in the air....... You can see the contents and reopen and reseal the bag multiple times. Dr. Swen said to remove all the leaf tips slowly....working down to just the ends......NOT to leave a hole...... So The WiZ......   Thursday, June 4 View Page I trimmed away most of the leaves and stems removing the rest with my thumb going back and forth until all the shoots and stems were removed leaving just a vine stub. Prior to surgery.......   Thursday, June 4 View Page Dr. Swen VanCutzIt had me look for a secondary that appeared to be normal. This normal secondary was to become the new main vine for the 991 Urena - "Seven Dog Charlie"......On this plant all secondaries on the left side were normal. Secondaries that were growing on the right side were freakaZoids..... One can see the stump here is already massive...... I choose this one to become the new main vine.....and left two others closer to the stump. Dr VanCutZit said to treat these as normal secordaries going with the farthest one out as my new main vine.....ChooZe the BIG one he said.......Swen iZ so smart....   Thursday, June 4 View Page Here'Z a pic of my 846 Calai.....and the 748 Davies (846 Calai X 1370 Rose) on the right.....I stopped giving the Calai any ammendments stressing it out by planting itZ replacement close by and telling it so every time a saw it. I watered and drenched it frequently giving it full sun sooner than my other plants trying to shock it back to normalcy. The Calai started growing right off the bat with two leaves on the same stalk as the first normal leaf out and going flat vine. One can see it here on the left side of the Calai (left plant). Not too efficient as the top leaf completely shades the smaller leaf underneath it on the same leaf stem, but both are strong looking leaves........perhaps a new variation for the "Hail Capitol of the World".......   Thursday, June 4 View Page This iZ a better shot of the cascading leaves.....   Saturday, June 6 View Page Here iZ the main vine tip a week later on the 991 Urena....
