About 3 weeks ago, I took this first picture of my patch. I hope to take some more pics of each plant this evening, to show you my line-up, but at the moment there is a heavy storm (with a lot of rain).

I'm proud of growing this plant in my patch this year: Joel's worldrecord seed of 1992, the 827Holland92

The keeper on the main vine of my 827Holland92 plant, it's pollinated with the 801.5Stelts97

Friday, July 18 View Page
I'll grow this second pumpkin on the first sidevine only to get seeds of this cross, not to get a big one. The cross is 827Holland92 x 898Knauss01.

The next keeper in my patch. The plant is the 1002Garrell07 (=1068Wallace x sib) crossed with the 1306Jutras07 (1450Wallace x 1068Wallace). Only 1068 genes in this pumpkin (1450 = 1068 x self).

My latest pollination this year on the 1010Daletas07 (=998Pukos05 x 898Knauss01). I did pollinate the 1010 with the 1002Garrell07 (=1068Wallace03 x sib) on July 18.

My biggest pumpkin so far on the 1207Young07 (=1370Rose x 1068Wallace). The cross is 1207Young07 x 898Knauss01. The same speed as the 1002Garrell fruit = 25lbs per day (OTT = 238).

The keeper on my 846.5Calai99 plant. Not the biggest one but I like it's shape and I think it will get a nice orange color. OTT = 185. The cross is 846.5Callai99 x 1010Daletas07.

Pumpkin on the main vine of the 804Raflant07 (=1132Eaton03 x 904Colbert05) plant. The cross is 804 x 898Knauss01. 904Colbert = the same cross like the 998.6Pukos05 / 1132Eaton03 = 734Cheam02 x 1236Eaton02 / 734Cheam = 805Pukos x 1153Eaton01 / 1153Eaton = 723Bobier99 x 974.5Eaton00

Since the moment I started growing AG's I've never had such a long stem on a pumpkin, like this one on the 804Raflant07. It's a little bit more than 6.5 inches long.

The "Beauty" in my patch this year, my 846.5Calai99 pumpkin. Last measurement on August 12th: OTT = 272

Tuesday, September 9 View Page
3-4 weeks ago I lost most of the 827 Holland plant because "white foam" came out of the main vine and near the stem. Does anyone know the reason of this ugly white stuff? The pumpkin nearly stopped growing at 400lbs. I think harvest of this pumkpkin (great cross: 827x801.5Stelts) will be next week. The second pumpkin on the first sidevine is still growing a little bit (827x898Knauss).
