626 Bosworth (1446 Eaton x 1260 Weir) is up! I had to try this seed this year after seeing how well other growers 1446 Eaton's as the seeds mother has grown for other growers. Alot of pumpkins over 1000lbs has been grown in the past 2 years. This might be a good one maybe.

Woke up this morning and looked into my germ box and found that the 1068 Wallace is up with out a hitch, so far its the fastest germination and one of the best looking 1068 Wallace I have ever had, and believe me Dick and Eon has sent me a bunch of them, including another 1068 last year after I screwed it up trying to germinate. Seedling looks great so far!

Here is a home run ball I caught off Bobby ''the Roid'' Bonds from the NewYork Giants. ,,, OK, as you can see its not a ball, its a gourd I dried out and made. This gourd is so perfectly round and the exact size of a baseball I couldn't figure out anything else to make outta it.

1068 Wallace here is one of my best plants so far, its also been one of my most aggressive 1068 Wallace plant I have grown in the last 4 years. Usually the 1068 plant (for me and most other growers) will start out real slow and finish real strong. I'm hoping mine keeps up this aggressive growing and finishes with one over 1000 lbs! The soil I'm growing in this year has been followed almost exact to how Ron prepares his soil, Ron has been helping me since last year to get it as close to his as he can. I can say this for sure, its the best soil I have ever grown in, texture and drainage is great!

1180 Daletas This plant was growing real fast and aggressive but slowed because I didnt run heat in the hoop every night, only time I would run heat is when I thought there might be a chance of frost. Im now running the heat(100 wt light bulb) every night and its picking up the pace fast!

Here is a picture from last year of my 604 Bosworth 06' (1068 Wallace x 1469 Checkon) I lost the stump and mostly all the main when this pumpkin was around 100 or so lbs. In the picture this pumpkin is roughly 300lbs, when it finished growing weighed in at 604 lbs. This picture will show you(well atleast I beleive) with out a doubt that a pumpkin does feed from the roots and leaves past the pumpkin.

This is one hell of a grower right here, the 805 Pukos. The main vine is right at the 21 foot mark, It has over 30 secondaries on it already. If this plant grows a pumpkin like the leaves and vines are growing I should be In business,I hope. First female will open tomorrow at about 16 out.

My favorite plant(seed) of all time, the 1068 Wallace, I have never grown anything huge off this seed yet, but I know what I could have grown with it if it wasn't for bad luck and bad mistakes I have made, I'm gonna try not to have any mistakes with this plant this year(Knock on wood). I pollinated the first female yesterday at 12 feet out, I have another female that should be out around 17 feet once the main vine grows out, Id like for the one 17 ft out to be my keeper if at all possible. Ill keep my fingers and toes crossed.

Here is my 1086* Carlson/Peterson Greenie. The secondaries on this plant had been growing slow but the growth have picked up tremendously over the past 3 days. In the back ground behind the 1086* is my baby boo's and little jack gourds.

here is a crack on the main vine infront of the stem on my 805 Pukos. Im not sure if this one will be the keeper, but so far this is the fastest grower out of 3 pumpkins I have set on this plant.

Here is my first harvest of the year, Im not sure what kind of pumpkin this is but it has real thick skin and is dark, dark, dark orange with a thick stem. Anyone know what kind of pumpkin this could be? I got the seeds out of a pumpkin that was sold at a road side stand.

Here is a pumpkin that I'm excited about growing , this is the 55 Rahe (Cinderella x 1238 Burst) at day 23. I Crossed this 55 Rahe with the 748 Pukos "06. I took a circumference measurement a couple days ago and it was 61 Inches. I believe thats over 70lbs or somewhere close to that. This pumpkin is off the main vine only 3 feet away from the stump. I have a few more of Ron's plants going aswel another 55 and a few 71 Rahe's.

604 Bosworth (1068 Wallace x 1469 Checkon) I crossed this pumpkin with the 1068 Wallace. This is my 3rd best pumpkin growing in the patch right behind the 1068 and 805 and its already passed my personal best by OTT measurements. (Photo is kinda blurry because it was taken in the dark.)

748 Pukos'06 (1370 x 1225) I crossed this pumpkin with the 1068 Wallace. This pumpkin is right around 700lbs, its not gonna break any records but it sure has a nice shape and is gonna have a nice orange color to it.

903 Dill (802 x 810) I crossed this pumpkin with the 1068 Wallace. So far this pumpkin looks like its going to have a cream color to it, my buddy grew it last year and it was a real nice dark orange. I still have a ways to go with this pumpkin though, it still might change color. This pumpkin is right around 500 lbs.

Heres a couple Rahe pumpkins, they are kinda hard to measure and get a est weight on since I turned them on there blossom end, I turned them so they keep a good shape. Both are well over 100 lbs and both are off the main vine. These sure are fun to grow.

1289.5 Bosworth 07' (805 Pukos x self) I know there isn't very many 805 Pukos seed out there so the next best thing to a 805 seed is seeds from a 805 pumpkin that has been selfed. This is the first year I have ever selfed any plants, I just hope the seeds grow the same as the original. This pumpkin measured out at the weigh off at 179cc 103fb 105ss for a total of 387 Ott (1212 lbs) This pumpkin went 77 lbs heavy.

1019 Bosworth 07' (604 Bosworth x 1068 Wallace)168cc-99fb-96ss. Its 11pm and I just got back from weighing this pumpkin . Im real happy it went over a 1000lbs but kinda disapointed because I thought it would go way heavier then what it ended up weighing. I noticed this morning that the blossom end wasn't as firm as it was before and it was starting a small crack, so I had to get a official weight on this pumpkin instead of chancing it and waiting and ending up with a DMG later. Ill know just how bad it could have been when I open her up in the morning to get the seeds. I was planning on taking 2 pumpkins to Canfield but now I'm down to my last pumpkin, I sure hope my last remaining pumpkin holds together for just 2 more days!

1019 Bosworth 07' (604 Bosworth(1068x1469) x 1068 Wallace) This is my Dads favorite pumpkin out of all of the pumpkins I grew this year, he really likes thr tri colored pumpkins. I ended up giving my Dad the pumpkin bug after taking him to the Barnesville weigh off this year,it made that win that much more special that he was there to see me break the Barnesville site record, he was more nervous then I was before my 1289 hit the scales, lol!! Hes growing next year for sure so theres going to be two Bosworth's growing next year. Hes from Lancaster Ohio, although I'm two Hours away from him I will still help him all I can by phone and driving over, I also told him that everyone in the Circleville area would also help him when ever he needs it. That group in Circleville Ohio are a great group of people,Liggett,Conley,Wiget,Gerchy, Vanderpool, Speakman the list goes on. My Dad is already outside measuring his lawn and has 2000sq ft to where hes going to put his patch next year and deciding what trees hes gonna cut down, lol. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he should just put the tape measure down, because he doesn't realize once he grows one of these Giants that next year he will with out a doubt in my mind have his entire side yard a pumpkin patch, I see it coming,,LOL!!. Its gonna be fun growing with Dad next year.

I was going to take this to the Canfield weigh off but with everything on my mind that day with taking my puimpkin I completly forgot about it and left it behind, lol. I only got 4 good seeds out of this long gourd, the rest of the seeds was snow white and not mature.
