This is going to be our first year growing giant pumpkins. We've grown field pumpkins, tall corn and tall sunflower in the past. This year we are growing the 903 Boelman (1658 Young X Self). Hoping to grow a 500 lb. plus for the Iowa State Fair Weigh Off!

Have had a lot of superficial cracks appear all over the pumpkin right after the heat wave was over. Looks like Humpty Dumpty! We have been keeping them packed with sulfur.

We are on Day 49. OTT = 296" or 582 lbs. During the month of September the pumpkin has had an average of 14 lb. per day weight gain. Grow baby grow!
