Hi All Growers in the world !
Do you already know the charity org http://www.seedsforfood.org/ ?
For those in Belgium / Netherlands : http://zadenvoorleven.wordpress.com
I have taken contact with my kids' school asking cooperation for a kids pumkin contest - they reacted positively.
The aim is to multiply the 1400 Atlantic Giant seeds I have to donate 25000 off to Prof. Van Cotthem next October - will we "suc-seed" ??
And, will we get help from other growers around the world ?
I will keep you posted !

School agreed to participate with 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of primary school ; I had prepared a powerpoint presentation full of images and the pupils where enthusiast like crazy !
Many of them had seen my last year's pumpkins lying next to our front door, along the road to their school. 1st and 2nd will sow in classroom, 3rd year has taken seeds home with instruction flyer.
For those who'd want to try growing a giant, I noted my email address on the flyer.

Last week I remembered school kids (classes 2, 3 and 4 in the meantime) about the seed collection action and they were still very enthousiastic. Many of them had succeeded growing a giant and were amazed by its size.
I hope we can help a lot of people with the seeds we'll collect and it would be really nice if some fellow pumpkin growers would arise from them...
