Thanks to Frank and Mr. sweet I have some really good seeds to start with. Line up this year is the 1103 young,(1059 vm x 1131 gansert),859 gansert (1131 gansert x 1059 vm), 1107 sweet (1677.5 hunt x 1634 werner), 923 haist (754 scheigert x 980 klinker), 585 buglio ( 1090 werner x 1059 vm). Have started seeds today and are in make shift chamber. Hope to grow big and orange. Will try pictures next time. Wednesday, April 25 View Page All seeds germinated except gansert. Started backup Gansert 1131 ( 1059 vm x 827 Gansert). All patch work is done for now, will plant in garden as soon as first true leaf starts growing well. Still no pics yet working on it. Wednesday, May 23 View Page Well plants are doing ok, sprayed Bare systemic fungicide today for we have had a lot of rain. Some leaves are tinting to yellow hope its from rain and clouds. Weather is turning hot and dry starting tomorrow will see if this turns them green again. If does not, may add some epsom salt to next watering. Did loose (young plant), backup is gansert not sure of numbers on seed, do not have it in front of me. Haist is slowest plant in ground now, have put in backup beside it. The backup is Brezinick also not sure of nmbers on seed. Will find and post later, hopefully with some pics. (Tight lines) cp out. Wednesday, July 4 View Page Buglio X Haist 20 day Over the top: 162 Wednesday, July 4 View Page Gainsert X Sweet Day 13 OTT 90.25 Haist X Buglio Day 12 OTT 74 All pumpkins are set on the main Monday, July 9 View Page Well went out this afternoon and found two spots of rot on my Buglio plant. Scraped out the bad stuff, at least what I saw, cleaned up and coated with sulfur powder. This plant currentley has one at 195 ott at 25 DAP. Hope I can get all the rot cleared up. Also found a little spot on my Gansert, cleaned up and put on sulfur. This plant has one going at 137 ott at 18 DAP. Weigh off is along way off, need some help from above to keep them going. Bad thing is our rain chances are between 50-60% for this week. (Rot,Rot,Rot) sounds great does it not. Tight lines, cp out. P.S. any local growers to North Carolina give me a shout at my email.
