First off I want to thank Ron and Pap!!! Second, WOW I wasn't expecting this!!!!!!!!! Holy cow do I feel a ton of pressure to take care of and raise this seed!!!! I about had a heart attack when I opened the bubble pack!!! then took some photos and immediately stuck the envelope in my fire proof gunsafe!!! and there it will stay (except for the field trip we took to church today for show and tell)!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Ron!!!!

I still cannot believe the generosity of the pumpkin growing world, thanks to everyone!!!! I also have a "freak "seed from last year. just hope and pray that we have some more favorable weather to deal with!!! again thanks to everyone,also got seeds from Pella Dan and Don young, I need more time and a bigger patch!!!!

i changed jobs last month,my old boss sold his farm and moved away so my new bosses wife has two jersey cows and until we get some extra calves i will be putting fresh milk in the garden periodically, you know it is cold when a five gallon bucket of fresh milk turns to slush!!! hope it turns to lead inside my pumpkin!!!!

another view of house, milk slush, and- the bales in the background are a makeshift GIANT compost bin for several tons of spoiled corn sileage, missouri giant pumpkin state record look out!!!!! tomorrow the forecast is for 5 to 10 inches of wet snow,man is winter hanging on and definately wearing out its welcome!!!

tilled my foodplot saturday and it took 3hrs!! last years drought killed out all the clover so i had to re-seed it the elevated blind was where brett shot the turkey from and has also been the downfall of many deer. it is a great place for the kids to hunt!!!

well here is a pic of a very bad start to my day! took the blanket off of the 2009 that was protecting it from the below freezing temps and the metal ring fell off of the light globe i was using as a cover also and broke the second and third leaves off!!! general consenus is that this plant is finished!!!
