Friday, May 11 View Page Now is probably a good time to mention that I'm new to giant pumpkin growing. Last season I started with an Atlantic giant but it only lasted about 3 weeks. Then I had to start over with Prizewinner Hybrid variety. My season ended early again thanks to hurricane Irene. Despite all that I ended up with a very pretty 91 lb pumpkin. This year I'm trying again with Atlantic Giants and very excited to see how the season goes! Friday, May 11 View Page Holy growth spurt Batman. I went to work and it had 2 leaves. I come home from work and it has 3! This is fun. Saturday, May 12 View Page Day 10 - Today was the first sunny day in two weeks. So the pumpkin spent all day outside enjoying the sun. I may plant it in the garden tomorow... Thursday, May 17 View Page Day 15 - Another sunny day. Haven't outgrown the pot just yet but it will be going into the ground this weekend.
