I have two small patches. In one patch I have a heating cable. This patch is growing the 1663 Zoellnor. The other patch does not have a heating cable and has my 827. Both are identicle in age and both went in the ground on May 6.
Here are the comparison pictures

Not even 24 hours out of the hoop houses and I got leaf damage from a freak storm.

This season is starting off a bit rough. A split about 5 inches long on the stump. It is well healed and dry. It was hidden by the cot leaves. I saw it when removing them this morning.

Just wondering if anyone knows what could have caused these three marks.
They are located out on a secondary near the tip. They are striaght cut marks just like a knife cut. The material dripping out is like a gel.
Thanks

My new ride. It does not run and is a bit rusty. A winter project for me now that I have no weeds to pull.
