I figured better late than never.. This pic is of one vine out of multiple. I say multiple because I covered the area where I planted another few vines with more soil and now I don't know which vines coming out of the mound is the main and which are not. Live and learn. This is also one of the two healthy "looking" vines I currently have "growing".

Here is the only other healthy "looking" vine.

More trouble...these guys were easier to get rid of than I thought they would be. They did do some damage but not enough to cause real issues.

Here is the patch as of today. Potted plants are for wind shield purposes. Next year...next year...The current female to be pollinated is on main way off to the left. You can also see the end of main that took a skyward shot a couple nights ago. It broke main after the female and hoping this won't cause in issue. Another is small female is coming off the longest 2ndary. May have to go with it instead.

here is the break on main. I have since buried it with some potting soil. Don't know what else to do at this point.

These next four shots are of the same pumpkin , different angles/views. You can see the mold growing on the blossom end. I hope this does not affect the pumpkin at all.

This is main, cut off halfway down vine. Letting two secondaries go until they die too.

This is what my leaves have succumbed to... Don't really know if it's the SVB's, SB's, or nutrient defficiency.

I'm only posting this for reference for newcomers to the SVB world. The following pics are from a main vine I pulled today. After pulling two more vines I found a total of 11 svb larvae, ranging from small to full size.

GOTCHA!!!

That is all for now. I pulled all but two vines today. None of my vines reached more than 10 feet, most averaging 5 to 6 feet. One vine left is a main, one set on day 6 and getting soft and losing its shine. 12" beyond that is another fruit set ready to poll tomorrow, with no male in sight to do the job. The other vine(s) are the first and second 2ndaries from a main I pulled. These two are growing from tap roots only. Not sure why I'm even keeping these....posterity I suppose.
