Finding Nemo, we only got a foot. But pump on plow was frozen. 1.5 hrs of torching, draining, in blizzard conditions at 6am got it functioning enough to limp through plowing, mostly to the left like a nascar driver, wouldnt turn back to the right, then wouldnt raise.. droped it at the mechanics for thawing and servicing pump, and lines. Not a fun morning.

I know people are looking for some info here.. :-) took my soil samples, that about it, set up table and florescent lamps at the new house, bought some starting soil and 5 inch peat pots, got the chamber out, we are getting ready. Heading to RI to the SNGPG Meeting to pick up some supplies, socialize and eat some prime rib. YES I will be vigourously making a run at defending Master Gardener. Good luck to all those that compete, it was a fun and rewarding 2012 for me. strive for it in 2013.

Due to the GFI being tripped and heating coils not on for two weeks, which in turn did not cycle out the corn seed maggots. I lost two 1509.5 Sweets, then a 1404.5 Sweet and 827 Gerhardt that were put in after, and a 993 Vincent Squash, possibly the second one. treated everything with Bayer Tree and Shrub anyway, and of course I used my backups and killed them, so Now I am waiting on 903 Vincents, 1509 Sweets, 1107 Sweets, and 1404.5 Sweets, all for 1 or 2 houses. GGRRRRRR!!!!!

Hope to get some time in the patch this holiday weekend, I will see if I can get some photos up. evrything germinated and going, except for some maters, will be just in time for regular weighoffs for me with them. 1579's leading the way and about ready to lay down. rebounding from Corn seed maggots on 2-3 houses with faulty heat, a couple of times, mowing cover crop still and watering, thats about it here in the Berkshires. planted close to 3000 trees on the treefarm, 100 or so more to go. busy spring

Where the Hell is the RuleBook? Does it say how many seasons you must grow to stop making rookie mistakes??? My pair of 1579 Wallace plants, most aggressive in the patch are done!! DO NOT TOUCH THEM IN THE MORNING!!! Especially when it is in the 40's. One was me for sure the other??? might just have been the cold spell and lack of bracing!! 1404.5 Sweet that was in 2 gallon has replaced one of them, if the other secondary takes over on the 1579 for a new main,I might leave it. houses are off, hail cover up on 3. Neglect and weather are gonna be the winners this year.

This could be a bummer!!! 1799.5 Delatas, Day 17, and absolutely no plant to push it!! all but 2 secondaries just stopped! so much rain, or pumpkin is taking all the energy, cause its screaming!! giving it everything I got for foliar, and may be with this warm stretch coming some nitrogen will release..
