Hello all, this is my second year trying to grow. The first didn't go so good. I will post some pics later or tomorrow. I have got two plants going. I do not know the lineage (I didn't realize how important that was) I got the seeds from Lowes, they are AG. I don't know a lot about fertilizer and I am trying to grow them in a residential area. I tilled the garden memorial day weekend and planted the seedlings the following weekend. The seedlings had only one leaf on them when I transplanted them to the garden/patch. So they have been in the ground for 23 days. Weather here in michigan had been cooler than usual with very little sun and wet. This week I am looking forward to good growth as we hit the 90's for the first time this year.

Hot weather here, temps in the low to mid 90's. Will weed the patch tonight, after all the rain and 3 days of sun plants and the weeds took off. As of this morning the main still is not fully on the ground. Its about 2 feet and looks like male flowers are already forming. I had trouble with loading pics last night but will take daily pics until I get it figured out, then load them. I will use bamboo sticks to get the main to fall completely. I am surprised at the size of the leaves. The new ones seem to get larger then the previous (wish I knew if this was a good sign. My back up is about a week behind but is doing well.
