june7 2008 it's a rainy day here in south wisconsin so i thought i'd sit down and start my 2008 diary first off i'll be growing 3 dill plant this year my fav the 1267.9 along with my 867.8 and my 678.2 all plant have been growing good in the bad weather we've been having,i dont have any pic at the moment but i'll get some up by tomarrow.best of luck to all growers.Josiah

june8 rain wind stormy day today, and for about 5 more day we are not gunna have no sun at all so hopefully the plants dont get set back to much, as far as fertilizers go i have been giving my plants a steady dose of fox farms grow big, and a shot of fish emulsion once a month, and once my plants start to bloom out i'll swich to fox farms big bloom, and thats what i got for firtilizers this year, again best of luck josiah

June10 all plants are doing fine after 5 days of rain,and wind up to 25 mph, and dont you know we are supose to get like 4 more days of crapy weather, if the weather keeps this up i'll get set back alot!!!!!! but the good news is we got some sun today,but still 27 mph wind gusts.l'll get some pic's in tomarrow morning if it's not to bad outside, so you all can see what has become of my babys. another update my 1267.9 mellow is 6 feet long and is putting on about 6 and a half inches a day on it's main,and shank the 867.8 is five and a half feet out,and is putting on about the same as mellow 6 and a half inches a day,and cant forget the little guy the 678.2 smocker he's about a foot and a half out just growing as fast as he can,putting on 2 inches a day.

in the last 12 hours 867.8 shank put on 16 inches of her main vine,for it to grow this much the humidity outside was 58 the temp was 82 and we hade scattered showers with sun at time's. mellow put on 11 inches,shank put on 6. i should have a polination by july 6th

ok this morning was the first rainy day all week and it is also the day my two female flowers opened off the 1267.9 @ 867.8 so this morning i was pollinating in the rain but i think i did a good job hoppfully they will take, if not i got to go with the one's on the secondarie's. this is a pic of the 1267.9's female flower that opened this morning looks to be a 5 lobe, kinda goofy looking tho.

update time the pumpkin with no lobe ended up aborten so now i got to go with my back up on that plant witch is at day 14 if first day of pallination is day zero, he has a 38 and a half inch cir, 28 inches over the top, and 27 and a half inches from side to side for a ott of 95 and he weigh's 24.08 lb. now the pumpkin on my 1267.9 is 9 days old looking good so far he has a 26 inch cir, 17 inches over the top and 16 inches from side to side for a ott of 59 not to bad, he weigh's 12.01 lb. i did get a pollination on smocker yesterday though, ps i hate the rain so far for july we got 6 inches witch is not the best uhhhggg.

well i know it's been a while since i posted in here, and i have not posted are pumpkins weight's, so i figgerd i'd finely post pic's of the pumpkins and there weight.both pumpkin went light i think the one was 10 % light and the other 15% light. anyways here is a pic of me and my pumpkin she weighed 501.5 lb and went 10% light.

and on another note, here is me and a buck i was able to harvest during the wisconsin rifle season, close to my biggest buck ever, did'nt score it yet so i dont know yet proble is, he had 9 inch G2's, im gunna get back in the blind after rifle season with my bow and try to get one bigger, becuse i know we have three more bucks bigger than that, in the area.
