Very strange powerfull seed: i have started after the Duchezeau seed a 948,5 Lyons wich is now the best looking plant, seems to be an agressive plant;;;;;;;; Curt:you should have a look these days in your letters box :)

Found this on the Lyons plant, sunburn or nitrogen excess? If it's nitrogen, the plant had only the nitrogen in the soil, perhaps excess of manure, time will tell.

Time for update, no spectacular growth for the pumpkins plant just 2,5 ft for the 1153 Breznick (probably king of the patch) Lost the main vine of the 798 Thomas and waiting for another one , good luck !!

The 1153 Breznick is developing some nice secondvines and try to hit the 5ft long now, weather is going to be fine these futur days, plant have some seaweed extract and some compost tea today. Little pumpkin is coming at about 6 ft approx !

This morning, and for the first time of growing, polinated a six lobers female, it was on the 1153 Breznick at about 11,5 ft. The plant got a virus on the new leaves, sprayed some fungi to see if i can keep them healthy. I have to cut the one at 9ft now to encourage a new growth.

Fruit is 7 DAP this morning and the mainvine has been terminated at about 16/17ft, still have 4 sidevines growing, all sidevines are over 10ft long. Sprayed some foliar calcium also. For moles i have in the patch, i have put some bottles in the holes to make some noise ...hehe they love! STILL WAITING FOR A NICE WEATHER....

Well, time for update: took a 24 lbs giant marrow today (11kgs), first PB for my first year of giant marrows. Patch update: all plants have been removed and patch is now ready for 2013. Added some horse manure, compost and soil looks very good. Thanks to all who help me this year and learned again a lot this year! Good luck all for weigh off!
