filed edges and started within paper towels in a zip lock.
I've been looking for good soil recommendations. I dug a 4'*4' whole with a 2' whole in the center. My plan is to replace soil with manure rich pro-mix and some chunky organic compost. I'll add some extra fermiculite and sandy gravel towards the lower half of hole. I want the pumpkin in the ground on May 10. I'm in the northeast.
all three pumpklins took yesterday and promply were put in 4 inch pots. each was put under high intensity flourocents.
The holes have been dug and tilling surrounding area is next. I added allot of manure and some fantastic compost. This will be mixed with fish and seashell compost. The three pumpkins will be grown in three different ways. One organic(Earthjuice, Neptunes and hygrozyme), another with Foxfarm(chemical/organic blend) and finally one will be pushed hard chemically. All three share the tilled and equally fetilized area.
