Because I want to compete in the State Fair first week of August and the local fair first week of Sepember and the GPC Weigh-off first week in October I am planting in shifts. Am present I have germinated the the 1288 Connolly, the 1244 Burgess, the 1156 Hunt and for squash the 1093 Razo. I will plant 6 more at the end of April.

The dairy cows wanted to gift me early this year and I oblidged by piling it up to compost thoughout the season and apply this Christmas! I have five piles of already worked compost and now this pile to start on!

The dairy herd is on a coffee break above the pond. This week I have collected over 20 ton of manure/hay/soil and will add some greens and browns a little water and stir gently overturning the pile 1st of each month! This year is gonna be a new PB and next year is already shapping up to be better and better!

I was able to collect 16 free barrels this year that had food grade extra virgin oil in them. I will be using them as rain barrels and will be foliar feeding from them! I have 4 plants in the ground and another 6 in the greenhouse germinating! This is gonna be an exciting year!

Put raised beds to the north of my pumpkin garden. Not only will it cut down on the wind but it will give me more room for other crops! This is gonna be an exciting year!

Picked up a walking square today and counted over 22 worms. The last soil structure test I did had 27 worms in a 12 x 12 x 8 inch deep.

The source of the swine flu has been discovered! This little girl had the flu and gave it to the swine who taken to market shared it with others!

I was fortunate to get a 1507 Jutras which is throwing fruit everywhere. This pumpkin sustain stem stress but was on track for major weight till then.

My 1177 Haist has outgrown my pumpkins if you compare day since pollination on each pumpkin!

My 1156 Hunt was a late pollination and although there is plenty of time to weigh off it doesn't have the gains I wanted.
