570*Stellpflug(99)..Had to use some different chemicals to get germination, did some damage. Coming along slowly, not sure if it will pull through. The 821*, 539*, and 620* didn't germinate. Neither did 687*Salentine, 713.5*Herrmann, 604*Welty or 715.5*Nesbitt.

Many issues this season. Way behind. This is 570*Stellpflug (99) x Self.

Not expecting much from this plant. Again, many issues, but nice genetic cross. 1260 Weir(01) x 1730 Werner (12).

Season has been over since end of July. Yellow Vine Disease wiped out all my plants. Managed to save one side vine, 28 ft long now, no stump. Every fruit aborted, but I did get a pollination to take on this one vine, pollinated on August 1. Nothing big expected, just genetics. Fruit is growing well. No signs of YVD on this vine.

Season pretty much done here. Fruit stopped growing, developed a soft spot on top, as seen in picture. Treated spot, scraped, fan on it now. Will try to save until our local Pumpkin festival, unlikely !!! Good learning season for me, issues I've never dealt with before.

My squash from this past season. It was only 32 days old when it stopped growing. Yellow Vine Disease wiped me out this season, but I managed to save 1 side vine. Very late set. All seeds were immature.

After much research and germination trials, many chemical formulations, dosages, and embryo cultures. 1 seed germinated out of the many I tried.

Doing good.

Stem split about a 1/4" down, between cotyledons(spelling). First leaf is growing, but seems there is something else going on. Maybe the chemicals and dosages have affected it somehow.

Still growing good. Appears that there are 2 vines growing now. One from each side of the split.

Still doing good. One vine appears to be growing a little better than the other. Will wait and see, then terminate one of them.

Got a 2nd seed to germinate with another chemical combination. Have tried at least 50 seeds so far, these are the only 2 to germinate. Will try to grow these out and cross them, just to get viable seeds for next season. So, squash size is not an issue for me, just want the genetics. Old school squash genetics from 90's.
