13 year periodical cicadas,They are coming out by the thousands. There is a load hum in the trees, almost sounds like a piece of machinery running.

Hope Watermelon Festival, Lloyd Bright and me with the melons he brought to be auctioned off. I think the top weight was around 160. He is saving his biggest ones for the Sept. 3 Labor Day weigh off in Hope.

Weigh off at Washington State Park was a blast. got to meet some more growers ARweatherman(Ryan) and Jake Holloway. it was great talking to them and the Bright family.
