Bitterly cold today, actually this is the warmest winter I have been in, it just seems cold. Practice germinating went well, I used our gecko cage, they did'nt seem to mind. Thanks to the growers who sent me seeds, Pumpkin, Tomato. A special thank you to the congregation that pays my club membership and to all the good folks at bonetone billy's blackwater in. - my attempt at humour.

It is almost time..my seed with alot of 898knauss genetics in it. 340Beauchemin (898knauss remake), 751Mudd (opposite cross of 898Knauss), 689Beauchemin (4 generations of 898knauss) also will have 1375Liggett, 1566Rodonis, 998Pukos, it will be finished this year after I cross the 800Henkin (689Beauchemin x 1375Liggett) into it, I sent him the seeds and he made the cross for me, thank you Scott Henkin (to speed things up a little). Then I will cross something into it, what I don't know.

I've gone banana's. Today I took two black rotted banana's minus the hard stem, put in blender added water, watered the house plants, should no if I killed them in a few days :) I google imaged bananas as fertilizer, some people save the peelings, dry them, crumble them use as fertilizer, I might try that this year. I know where I can get alot of rotted banana's.

I went thru a hundred or so different pumpkin seeds, picked out the ones I thought looked best, filed, ready to go. I usually just grab a seed, this year I examined them, hope it makes a little difference. Some looked better than the others thats for sure. Now only 100 days to wait!

I was at the post office today and Bob Lurtsema was in line also, Bench warmer Bob. He played with the MN Vikings Purple People eater defense, was a great guy, my wife and I shook his hand, he complimented me on my jacket, its a MN Vikings jacket. I told him I'm waiting for the Vikings to be as good as they were in the 70's.

I went and bought more Soilblast and Mycoblast from Supremegrowers, he also thru in a few more packets. Houseplants responded well to it. I have fed my house plants about everything, for some reason Bat Guano gets the biggest response from them. Also bought a Biota Max, you can get it a few dollars cheaper if you go to the Tomato section of the site, don't ask why, I saved a few dollars.

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied, "The one you feed."

Q. How does SEA-90 differ from common salt?
A. Common table salt is pure white crystals of highly refined 97-99 percent sodium chloride. SEA-90 is dehydrated seawater in its purest state containing 87-92 percent sodium chloride. It is not a single metal salt but a mixture of 90+ elements in the sea’s perfect proportions. The lightest elements (sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium) are totally balanced with the trace elements (copper, chromium, zinc, manganese, selenium, cobalt, molybdenum, et al.).

This amazing technology evolved from Dr. Murray’s question, “Why does man, God’s most perfect creation, fall prey to degenerative disease?” Dr. Murray searched for answers by studying various groups of centenarians (humans who regularly live beyond 100 years of age) throughout the world to determine why they are superior or physiologically different. Since he could not find any obvious differences, he began to examine their environment and found these cultures live in virtually isolated ecosystems. The soils of their ecosystems were preserved from erosion, cared for sustainably without the use of chemical fertilizers or poisons, and in many cases, fed by mineral rich glacial streams. Therefore, he concluded that the answer must be in the soil and the food these centenarians produced and consumed. As a scientist and understanding the periodic table of elements, he wondered how many of the 90+ water soluble elements of the earth’s crust remained in the soil and available for plants growth and development. He conducted analyses of soils and the produce from various agricultural regions and discovered large discrepancies in elemental and vitamin content. He also studied the soil microbial activity and life.
As a result of discussions with other scientists, he learned that cancer or cancerous tumors were very rarely found in ocean lifeforms. Knowing that the sea once covered all land masses, he directed his research to the study of sea life. During the next several years, he traveled for months in fishing boats at sea dissecting thousands of species from the seas and did not find any traces of cancer, heart disease, or other degenerative diseases. Amazingly, his research concluded that aging on a cellular level does not occur in sea life. Dr. Murray then analyzed the mineral composition of seawater and found more than 90 water-soluble elements present in a constant proportional balance.

Dissolving SEA-90 and applying in solution as a foliar spray is a new application method that gained momentum during recent years due to research trials many of our customers conducted on their farms and gardens. The results are outstanding, and the cost of application averaging less than $1.50 per acre for most ranchers and farmers, is very exciting coupled with the results. Foliar applying SEA-90 remineralizes the plant from the top down rather than from the ground up. We believe that remineralization through broadcast application of SEA-90 is a necessary aspect to your remineralization efforts. However, foliar applications offer a significantly lower cost alternative for many farmers and gardeners during this time of rising fuel costs plus increase the nutrient density of the forage, fruits or vegetables. It has been proven through research trials that mineral foliar sprays can move up to one foot per hour in the plant's vascular system when applied at the proper time (late afternoon to sundown) when the stomata are wide open. Pasture grasses can supply up to 100 elements if they are available in the soil. By foliar applying SEA-90 sea minerals to pasture grasses as a foliar spray the grass is bathed in 92+ elements increasing the nutrient density to maximum levels. Many of our customers report that livestock grazing on pastures enriched with foliar application of SEA-90 refuse all mineral supplements as long as the livestock have that pasture grass to forage. An organic vegetable grower reported that he raised the Brix reading on his tomatoes from three to 10 with only foliar application. We know that some of the spray reaches the soil along with the plant matter as it decays to provide the elements and trace minerals to soil life and eventually enriching the soil.

Why does SEA-90 appear to act as a pesticide and fungicide when used as a foliar spray?
A. In our world, insects and diseases play important roles. They are attracted to weak and sick organisms and destroy them. The weak and sick are killed off and the healthy and strong are left to reproduce, thereby, improving the gene pool. When SEA-90 is applied as a foliar spray to a plant's leaf surface and/or incorporated into the soil, the plant metabolizes many of the 90 plus minerals and trace elements into its sap or fluid. Once these minerals and trace elements are incorporated into the plant's chemistry, the plant becomes healthier and its sap or fluid becomes infinitely more complex. Insects and fungal diseases, due to their simple physiology, cannot digest this complex mixture. Therefore, they leave these plants alone and attack and destroy the weaker plants without the complex chemistry. This could explain why plants that exhibit a higher Brix reading are less prone to insect and disease problems. Another reason SEA-90 might be effective as a foliar spray in combating insects and diseases is that the NaCl acts as a desiccant, thereby, directly interacts with insects and fungus causing it to die back due to lack of available moisture.

After watching Stewart Swerdlow youtube videos & reading the terrible truth by Martha Trowbridge at her web site, they say Obama is a Russian spy, and there is also another Obama, he is from Indonesia, and there is more, Obama's real father is Malcom x. Unbelievable stuff. My Tomato's are growing, I planted form seed, I have some for eating and some for size, the size ones grow slower than the eating ones. I hope they stay alive, I tried before and they died after a while, for now so far so good.

January 18, 2012Willow Tea as a Rooting Hormone
Weeping Willow
(Salix spp.)
Willow Tea is an easy to make rooting hormone used to propagate plant cuttings. And, best of all, it’s free. Willow bark contains natural plant growth hormones; namely, indolebutyric acid and salicylic acid.
How to make Willow Tea:
Collect young twigs/stems of any of willow species with green or yellow bark (Salix spp.).
Remove all leaves.
Cut the twigs into short pieces, about 1" (2.5cm) long, and place them in a heatproof container.
Cover the cut stems with boiling water, just as you would when brewing tea. Allow the willow and water to steep overnight.
Separate the liquid from the twigs by pouring the tea through a strainer or sieve. Your willow tea is now ready to use for rooting cuttings.
Willow tea can be kept for up to two months if you keep it in an airtight jar in the refrigerator. It’s a good idea to label the jar so you remember what it is. Also, write down the date it was brewed and the expiration date (two months from the date it was prepared).

- 351Linford, look at the size of the stem. Most and the orange genetics I started working on have small stems, don't know why, might cross this into the orange mix. I would like the 678Young, and got seeds only they don't germinate, I will try and if they don't germinate, the 351 is looking better. I know that at least 4 people have grown it and they have been shiny orange every time.

Day 2, looking good, are we suppose to peel off the leafs of the female or let them rot off? Today the Hawaiian Tropic all female sun tan team pulled up to my patch in a bus and asked me if I wanted to be the new sun tan lotion guy, I would have to rub sun tan lotion on all the females, I said I already have a job! then they left.

"Drekar" is the name of the 110Brouillard plant I made my cross with, your probably saying, what is Drekar
Drekar are known from historical sources, such as the 13th century Göngu-Hrólfs Saga (the Saga of Rollo). Here, the ships are described as elegant and ornately decorated, and used by those who went raiding and plundering. According to the historical sources the ships' prows carried carvings of menacing beasts, such as dragons and snakes, allegedly to protect the ship and crew, and to ward off the terrible sea monsters of Norse mythology. It is however likely that the carvings, like those on the Oseberg ship, might have had a ritual purpose, or that the purported effect was to frighten enemies and townspeople. No true dragon ship, as defined by the sagas, has been found by archaeological excavation
Drekar or what does it mean? well.....
Have you ever seen the main vine growing, up in the air, slightly hanging down, looks like a dragon head like a vikings ship,,,,,,,,,

Day 6, still growing, pollinating another yesterday on 110Brouillard crossed with 800Henkin, and another this morning. Pulled the pollinator plant, 1 of the 3 has got to keep growing! 125Brouillard (for the orange color) is growing good, it really responds well to alot of water.

Making this cross is driving me crazy, now the 7 day old one is looking like it could be aborting, the 2 day old is looking good. Stem has a small skin deep split, if you push on it it is wet, I don't want to dig into it, hoping it heals. I have one flower available to try and cross into the 1103, I want either the 125brouillard x 1103 or the 1103 x 125, prefer the 125 x 1103, then I can pull the 1103 pollinating plant. Hot lately, I'm sure that is doing something to my pollination success, and humid.

Darn darn darn, my 2nd pollinated pumpkin is aborting for my genetics cross, I have 2 left that have been pollinated. I have never had bad luck pollinating, only growing giant pumpkins! I think the heat has something to do with it, it is 97, 90's all week, and it has been that hot for the last 3 weeks. I will be reading up on rain dances, so I can dance and cool things off. Pollinated 1103 with 125 for insurance, goal is to pollinate the 125 with the 1103.

4th pollinated pumpkin going to abort, so much for my cross I was working on. It has to have something to do with the heat, MN is having a really hot summer. I also have read alot about other growers pumpkins aborting this year. Which raises the question, how do the growers in the south do it? is this going to be something to look for in the future, seeds that grow well in the heat? I have another orange cross I'm working on that got off to a late start, I can't expect much!

Pulled my 110Brouillard plant, 4 pumpkins pollinated and none set for more than a few days. Grew excellent lettuce. Will pollinate another on my orange plant tommorow, and it is hot and muggy, I will not be suprised if none of them take. Dumb idea of the day, if there are 15 sidevines on each side of a main vine, has anybody had a pumpkin on each sidevine grow? what is the most weight a plant as ever produced? What to grow next year??? hmmm, I might just grow a proven seed and forget about the genetics project!

One curious note, I pulled my plant, I looked at the area later that night, and there were wet spots in areas, I thought why, then I realized I did not pull all the roots out underground, anyway, the roots were still sending water to the main vine that was'nt there.

Eat It Raw! Natures Amazing Pharmacy!
Nature left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!
In the beginning salt water was separated from fresh, dry land was formed, and the earth
became a garden. Every food was provided for us before we were born. Vegetables and fruits
are best & most powerful when eaten raw.
A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines
look just like the human eye... And YES, science now shows carrots
greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and
is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and
are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape
looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also
profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere,
upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on
the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop
more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys. Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and

and cervix of the female -they look just like these organs. Today's
research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances
hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers.
And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an
avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic
chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern
science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic
index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary
glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the
movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help
clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears
which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic,
also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the
body.
