Here is the patch for the 963 Paton aka 998x1502.

I know the patch don't look like much now, but it will look good after I'm done cleaning it all up. I was going to plant the 963 on the 3rd, but it was to darn cold! Winter will not go away, it's gettin' on my nervs. It dropped down to the low 40s and I had to ware long sleeves when working in the patch. I used the time to harden off the 963, so it should be nice and sturdy when put out. To my surprise I found some volunteer sunflowers and tomatoes in a pile of mulch and wood chips. I used my chipper shredder last year to chop up all my plants, and I guess some seeds got through and popped up! I will post some pics soon.

Here's a picture of the 963 Paton ready to go in the ground today. You can see the roots growing out of the pot, but at least they are not root bound. I used a self watering pad to keep the roots moist.

I was not able to get a hold on some fresh manure this year, so I'm using a store bought humus and manure that should have .05-.05-.05 in it, so it's better than having nothing put down. I'm also using a weed guard for my sunflowers this year, I'm hoping this will help get me past 12 1/2 feet!
