On 4/14/13 I started the following. 2- 1770 Lieber's, 2-1579 Wallace's, 4- 1000 Grenchik's, 1- 1775 Starr and 1-2009 Wallace. Thus far all are above the soil and doing well. Plan to transplant around April 25-28th. 1579 Wallaces look great so far as well as my own 1000 Grenchik and 1770 Lieber.

For everbody who has gotten/is getting a couple of my 1000 Grenchik seeds: I have run out of labels/pic's of the pumpkin to put in the plastic baggies I send out so there will be new labels/pic's. Seeds will still be from the 1000 Grenchik though.

Plants are all looking good thus far. Had lights, tarps and candels out the past 2 nights to deal with the cold temps. Around 2 weeks ago I lost both of my 1770 Liebers to some strange rot problem that no other plants seem to have come down with (Sorry Charlie). Replaced them with a 1000 Grenchik. Line has now changed to 2009 Wallace, 1579 Wallace and 2- 1000 Grenchik's. Plants should lay down and start running vines next week.

The cooler weather looks to be coming to an end in the coming days (and the nights) Days will be mid- low 80's and nights in the 70's. Thats just what I need to get the pumpkins back to the 30's per day in weight gains.
Anyway they are all looking really good (Smallest is 600 pounds and on track for around 1000-1100). All the others are pretty well ahead of this one and I have a really nice one off of the 1579 Wallace and two 700-750 pounders off of my own 1000 Grenchik (1495 Stelts X 1789 Wallace.
Pic's and more info to come some time in September.... stay tuned.
