I decided im going to grow one plant this year. Reconstructing my hoop house today. Thursday, May 9 View Page 594.5 Van Hook (2007) is up. It still has half of its seed coat on. Running a little behind already. But I am happy to have one up. I will keep seed coat moist so the plant can shed it easier. The cots that are exposed to the grow lights have greened up nicely overnight. Been in the ground for a week in this picture Sunday, May 26 View Page Cold last night mid to upper 30s.Heaters on 70 degrees in hoop house. Cold and rain. Applied some calcium nitrate yesterday. 1/2 tsp to one gallon of water. Drenched the plant 12 inches away from stump. Time will tell to see how the plan reacts to the new fertilizer.
