Friday, February 24 View Page Spring fever anyone??? With mild winter so far, it's hard to look at a bare patch and just plan and not be able to get out there just yet. Friday, May 11 View Page Spring, I think is finally staying around in these parts, time to get the plants in the dirt, patch is finally ready, hoops up this weekend, and it's grow time! Sunday, May 13 View Page Two plants in the dirt today, hopefully the rest this week. Tuesday, May 15 View Page All plants officially made it to the patch today. Three pumpkins (double plantings in each hoop house for now) and one watermelon. Let the season begin, better late than never. Monday, June 4 View Page Rain rain go away! It's been damp cold and wet here the last few days, here's hoping summer weather will return and soon. Need to take the hoop houses down fairly soon, all plants doing well, had to go to a backup plan but still have 3 plants in the dirt. My original lineup has changed quite a bit but at least there are plants still growing.... Monday, June 4 View Page Momma deer has found my pumpkin patch, so far just eating weeds, happy feasting on just weeds please.... Tuesday, June 5 View Page Horray for sunshine. Still cooler than normal temperatures but, at least the sun is out and that is a good thing. Warmer temps on the way this weekend and it looks like Summer will be returning to Western NY. Monday, June 11 View Page And a mini-heat wave, yesterday upper 80's today high of 92. Then back to reality of upper 70's low 80's. Plants are loving this weather....Maybe just maybe I can catch up from a late start.....
