Genetics Patch. For those who aren't afraid of a little orange with their green. nice rodonis veins... white jarvis stripes... and a haist pollinator. 941* sherwood (1486* jarvis x 1495 stelts) x 996* haist 50% should grow green. 100% chance for a 2014 new WR.

3 days of heavy rain are over... sun's out, gun's out!!! terminated all new late season growth and hit it with KDL. Some would call that crazy. Continues to put on weight, although it loses 0.0002 ounces per day in weeping out of the blossom. Hope she stay together after all the rain. Lots of new cracks showing up, so still putting on some decent weight.

A Haist squash has to be too thick to split, right??
Saturday, September 21 View Page
fish, KDL, humic... sitting in the mid/high 800s, hope it goes real real heavy.
Thursday, October 3 View Page
squash was pretty much done growning until I added 5 pounds potassium sulfate and 2 cups KDL. Apparently it is still growing a little... A nice new big fresh KDL crack formed last night, so she's still putting on some weight!!! Done with the fertilizers for the season... going to snow Friday, and will weigh Saturday!

Saturday will be the first annual northern Colorado weigh-off, at FORT COLLINS NURSERY. Ribbons have arrived and look great!
Thursday, October 3 View Page
Sample ribbon. Color and design came out great! The art in the center looks amazing. Really impressed with the quality.

Nice overall size. about 16 inches.

Last shot of the season if I don't take a picture of tomorrow's snow.... Plant is pretty beat with some frost damage, despite all the KDL! Random flower in the foreground. It's one mean squash... should have a shot at the record, can't ask for more than that.

905.5* Mohr 2013 (996* Haist x 941* Sherwood). OTT = 340, +4% heavy to new chart. Didn't get the record, but happy to go over 900, and a nice squash for my first attempt at green. They definitely grow different than the pumpkins!

Thanks to Fort Collins Nursery for the great weigh-off. We had 12 entries for pumpkin, and 5 for sunflower.
