Seems I may have a disease problem in the vegetable garden as well as the pumpkin patch. I have no idea what this is but it came on almost overnight. I have sprayed everything with a fungicide called Pristene so will se what happens. The tomatos seem to be hit the worst.

And here is the affected pumpkin plant. This is a backup plant that was planted later than everything else. I've definitely never seen anything like this but I feel sure it is all tied into the problem on the vegetables.

The only one left and she is on a sidevine. 248 OTT today on day 32, 330 lbs est. Definitely not going to break any records here but I'll get all I can get as long it hangs in there.

Definitely an odd shaped one, I think it's kind of neat though.

Plant is starting to show age and stress from all this intense heat and humidity. 650 square feet so hopefully it will keep feeding until the last week of September.

This is on the 851 Fowler. It's on a sidevine and doesn't look like it's going to do much more. It's at 277ott as of yesterday. It has stem issues as well as some stump rot that I just found. Hopefully it will keep for 4 1/2 more weeks!

The 851 has a huge stump! Starting to see some oozing aroud it though. It's been a great plant. No doubt one of the most heat and disease resistant plants I have ever seen. It's been a light year this year but hopefully next season will cooperate and the 851 can grow a big one.

The VGVGA auction will offer two custom made lifting tarps made by a professional tent/tarp maker. Kreig Obryant is a member of our club and does an excellent job on these!
The 5x5 has 2 handles on each side, the 7x7 has 3 on each side. These are made with 2" seatbelt material. The tarp is 18oz. heavy duty vinyl used in making truck tarps and withstands 80mph speeds on the highway. Mildew resistant and UV protected. Easy to clean, just hose them off! Should last a lifetime!

This photo shows the reverse side of the tarp. Kreig has used one just like these to drag deer out of the woods, has never hurt one in the least doing it!
