i am a little on the sad side...i had some great seeds not germinate leaving me a little disheartened, but can't dwell on that now...the season is still too young. Calai 1074 non sucessful germination along with Hester 895.5(greenie)

plants in hoops outside lost Boz 1289.5 - i type this as i wipe away a tear.. due to my taking to patch on windy day...twisted stem right off needless to say all other plants were brought out with extreme caution

1st pollination, on chambers 1242, apx 12ft out on main, 5 lobes. concerned due to rain if this pollination will take, due to extreme moisture.

well... had a nasty visitor to the patch... a deer which so kindly took off my main vine tip and several leaves to my 1028 wells which was to about cross the 12 ft barrier and yes there was a female on it and for some reason she left remaining, which looks to be ready to pollinate tomorrow.

well to awake this morning and to find was once again visited by a deer, she /or he...pulled my baby back up plant the 852 Boroff(greenie) which had just started into a fine growth spurt,clear outta the dirt.so that was the end of the plant. she had alslo trimmed several secondaries on my 1242 chambers.

well finally broke down and purchased deer repellent spray and sprayed it along fence line and also lightly upon leaves of all plants, OMG does this stuff rank i practically ralphed upon sprayin it. But if it works good deal. Next time i will be prepared.... mask and bodysuit.

well upon morning inspection no sign of deer visitor so hopefully the repellent has worked. Also pollinated first fruit upon the G/v #2, at apx13 ft, 4 lober crossed with 1242 chambers.

we leveled the gravel into the cement block form and settled it into every nook and cranny we could find, this is the floor frame that we built upon it and this picture shows the floor starting to be laid. Thank You Curtis too! and my Mom too! you never know how much you help, Thank You!!

well, having some issues posting my pics, i will work on that later today..... returned from vacation to find a stem split in chambers 1242, will have to keep an eye on it, cleansed and treated with captan now has a fan on it, we shall see what transpires.

ok, ouch! here she is after fixing her gash the best I could high winds sent a piece of 2'x8' plywood thru my fence and into her blossum end, sure hope I can get her to heal, used captan and now have a fan blowing on her, no ones fault just one of those things that happens...
