1246 Lombardi 08.
Had a real hard time with this one, not a bad thing just everything, even the seedling was double, as the 1st true leaf grew it was on the other side, and arched backwards, but looked great, but at planting there were 4 more. Took a guess at vine direction, then i just left it.
Thought to myself (Mutant)i got trouble.
(I was wrong) main vine has started, perfect leaves, and crown fused as one more beefier than ever. This is a first for me,i let it's own genetic's. and mother nature take over. So... my lesson learned it was just a race horse trying to get out the gate early. All's great so far.

Roger this is a rough season so far for you.
Well just missed 2x from Tornadoes. But did get hammered by Hail, severe rain, temps 69f to 92f in more than one day,and three severe thunderstorms with 60mph vortex winds, wind barrier would not of helped, well dodged two storms third got me good. I've said my prayers, and if it's gods will so be it.
Here are your pic's to remember, and learn alot from, more than just plant care. plants were secured before the last storm somehow i just knew, and i wasn't watching the weather, i think i did get some help.

Repair has started.
My first thought was pull them, and be easy on yourself, but this is why you grow, take the good with the bad, and try to make it to the scales with a solid fruit, not a plant.

Fruit has softened up in spots, and wont make it to the weighoff. With all that happened this seed would not quit, and at leased i got to enjoy the short growth even with the plant ripped apart early in the season. Thank you Todd, and lori Swarts for the seeds. One tough plant!
I'll harvest seeds today, and help my neighbor move also.
To all the growers; May God bless you all with new personal bests this year.
